Dear Bloggie,
This will be my last time posting a bloggie before I settle down in USM coz I don't have a laptop (but I will definitely buy one when the time is right). It might take me a month or so before I get to post another bloggie due to the hectic schedule in uni. Anyway, I will still online whenever I have the time to do so. I'm sure there are free facilities in USM. So, to all my bloggie readers, do come and visit my blog once in a while to know the updates about me (though I might only post a blog once or maybe twice a week.. hope you don't mind.. >_<)
After this, I'll be stepping into a new place with new environment, new people to meet and a brand NEW experience called, Uni Life.
Let the journey begins!
Reaching for the Stars!!! ^0^

Now, let's compare these 2 people - one is the cute little boy in the ENFAGROW A+ Commercial and another one is Korean pop star, Rain.

Do you think they look alike? I mean the boy looks a bit like a "junior" Rain especially when he wears the coat and speaks in front of the kiddy journalists!
SooooO cute!! Love it lots!!! ^0^

Phew!!!
Dear Bloggie,
I just went for an interview at Kuok Foundation (Wisma Jerneh) yesterday. At first, I thought it was going to be very tense and formal inside there but surprisingly it was quiet a nice interview. I had a good chat with 2 lady interviewers (or judges) - one is in her 30s and another one is in her 40s, I think. But there were many questions thrown to me which mostly were about my family financial status, my goals and aspirations, about the particular course that I intend to study - what is the field and job prospects and many other related questions which I hardly can remember. Thank God I manage to go through it without much pauses and I think I've answered most of the questions correctly, based on the evidence (documents and informations) that I gave them earlier. Overall, the interview was smooth. Anyway, I know that I already gave this interview a 101% of effort and definitely tried my best. Whether I get the award or not.. it is now depend on my luck. I will only get a letter confirming me a "yes" or a "no" in 1 month time. Hopefully I get-ler... Wish me luck! ^^
During these few days, I've been busying preparing my stuffs before going to Penang. Not only that I have to buy many many things (sorry but I don't have the time to elaborate what kind of things.. haha..) , I also need to apply for my ATM card as well as to settle all the university matters (such as the documents, certs, photos and fees etc.) - ALL in this few days time!!! Ahh!!! Why can't they give us like 2 weeks or something to prepare all this? 1 week is just not enough for me as I need to go there (Penang) earlier coz I have important things to do! I need to ask IF there's any empty place for me in mass comm course (should there be anyone who reject it) and if I could actually switch my course now.. coz now it is more like "siapa cepat, dia dapat". So I must go there earlier to consult the authorities there. The time passes so quickly! HELP!!! >_<
Ahh.. I'm so tired with all these..
Hopefully everything will go smoothly just like my interview-ler..
Hmm...

Never give up!
Dear Bloggie,
After days of worries and anxieties, it finally came to an end. I finally got my IPTA result that I've been waiting for all this while. However, it didn't came out as what I've expected - or should I say.. it came out HALF of what I've expected. Well, I got the university of my choice but didn't manage to get the course that I've been hoping for since more than 2 1/2 years ago. I got a place in University Sains Malaysia (USM), studying Management. That is pretty good for an arts student right? But somehow.. I still wanna pursue my studies majoring in mass communication.
I know that I should be happy and be thankful for what I've got because there are many other people who didn't even get a place in any of the local uni (pity them.. :-( ). But somehow deep in my heart, I'm still hoping that things could change. I mean why did I work hard all this while? What's the purpose? I could've study in private college if I didn't join Form 6 but the fact is that.. I've chosen F6 as my platform to go further.. to achieve my dreams...
Why did I study so hard? (though I admit that I'm quiet playful sometimes and always study last minute >_<) And why did I joined so many clubs and societies although I know I wouldn't have time to study? It's all for ONE simple reason - I want to get into the public uni that I desire as well as studying the course that I've been vying for. So, I work so hard to get as much co-curriculum marks as I can and try my VERY BEST to score in exam. You can ask any of my friends who sat for STPM in the same hall as I did. Even when the officer called me to stop writing, I still wrote, wrote and WROTE till he/she pulled my exam papers away.. (little kids.. don't follow me.. coz I'm very lucky that they didn't disqualified me from taking exams..! >_<) And as for co-co, you can ask any of my friends too.. or perhaps the whole F6 in my school.. how much effort I've put in.. It's not that I'm trying to boast, but its the truth. I really REALLY try my very BEST.
My parents criticized me for not being greatful for what I've obtained compare to the less fortunate ones who didn't even get a place in uni. I know.. I KNOW very very much that I should be thankful but.. if you were me.. will you let go your dreams just like that after aiming and striving for it for more than 2 1/2 years? Will you?
So is it wrong to be a little more greedy after all I've did..? Is it wrong to be just a little bit ambitious?
Anyway, my mum managed to ask one of her colleague who is also one of USM alumni about the problem that I am facing now. According to her colleague, there are cases of student changing courses in the public uni but we need to go there (USM) earlier to consult the counselor there. This means I might be able to switch my Management course to Communication!!! Once I heard the good news, finally... I can see some light.
I don't know whether I pick the right choice or not but what I'm very sure is that if I don't TRY, I will never know whether I can or cannot for the rest of my life.. and at the end.. I might even regret... People have been telling me that Management is a good course and Communication has become a quiet competitive course these days. Yes. I know that. But I STILL and really want to major in Communication and minoring in Management. And I will make sure I achieve that.
Whether it takes me one semester to be able to switch course or even a year.. I will still STRIVE for it!
Whatever it is.. I believe that we have one and ONLY ONE life in this world, so we must try to strive for what we really desire in life while we still can.
NEVER EVER GIVE UP! FACE IT!!!

Victims of Natural Disaster...
Ever since the massive earthquake hit Sichuan province (China) months ago, the victims have been living in fear, hunger and pain. Their houses and shops have been destroyed by the unfortunate disaster. Those who lost their one and only child in the catastrophe has greatly impacted their life since China allow people to have only one child in each family. As for those who manage to save their life, it was even more disheartening to see some of the children's leg as young as 10 years old have to be amputated due to its serious condition...
Till today, there has been many organisations (both locally and internationally) as well as various artists who had offered their help. I manage to find these songs sang by some of the famous Hong Kong, China and Taiwan singers from YouTube (Sammi Cheng was one of them! >0<). These songs are specially dedicated to the victims as well as the departed ones. If you listen carefully, the lyrics are actually very meaningful...
Enjoy ~
Sichuan Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund-Raising Event Songs
最好的朋友 (Best Friends) [love this song sooo much! very inspiring! ^^]
Pledge [another inspiring song originated from the evergreen classic band, Beyond! ^^]
SAMMI: Sichuan, Jia You! (aww.. that was very encouraging! ^0^)
Pledge (Various Artists)
However I was thinking.. there were many artists and organisations turned up to help China BUT how about Myanmar? They too are suffering from the impact of the deadly Cyclone Nargis. Perhaps we could say that the Junta army in Myanmar didn't allow too many international bodies and organisations to send aids to them at the beginning, fearing that they might "campur tangan" in their ruling in Myanmar and at the end forcing them to release pro-democracy social activist, Aung San Suu Kyi. So most of the aids have been transfered to China and when they (the Juntas) changed their mind, it's already too late. But anyway, I still feel that the MORE powerful the country is, the MORE support they will get. After all, China is going to be the next world's economic giant soon. And as we all already know (and excited about it).. the Beijing Olympics 2008 is going to start in a few months time! So haiz.. it's ALL about POLITICS...
Last but not least, we should always be grateful with what we have in life because.. there are many more unfortunate people in this world who are still struggling just to LIVE.
So guys, LIFE IS PRECIOUS. APPRECIATE IT!
Let's pray for the victims of natural disaster to find back their once lost "light".

IPTA result out next week Wednesday!!! >0<
Dear Bloggie,
I saw the news in the Star newspaper yesterday. And the minute I saw it.. seriously, my heart was pumping so fast.. I couldn't believe that time actually passed so quickly! Just about roughly 5 months ago I couldn't wait to get my STPM result and on the 11th of March, I finally got it. Then, I was hoping to get at least one of the scholarship (which I've sent 5 of them in early April) and just about a few weeks ago I got a letter from Kuok Foundation for interview. And NOW.. I'm going to face one of the most important moment in my life which will determine my future... Whether I'm able to pursue my studies in the public university of my choice or not is depend to the result that I will obtain.
If I tell you that I'm not nervous, I must be lying. Coz it has been more than 2 YEARS I've waited for this to come. To say the truth-ler, actually I'm not keen in studying Form 6 last time. It was merely just a bet with my dad that if I get 8As in my SPM, I can choose my own path (which is studying in private college) or else I will have to listen to my dad to study F6 due to some financial constraints. But well, there's a blessing in disguise I guess.. coz if I REALLY got 8As in SPM, I would have never taste the bitter-sweet experience as a school uniformed student for the very LAST time and I shall never get a satisfactory STPM result, neither that I will actually being shorlisted for an interview with Kuok Foundation. And of course, I will NEVER get a chance of studying in public uni and called myself.. a "Mahasiswi".
From the very 1st day I studied F6, I've been aiming to get into Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). I used to be a science stream student when I was in F5 but I switched to arts when I realised that the purpose I studied F6 was to actually get into public uni. So, as I know that I wouldn't get a satisfactory result in science stream (coz I know it is extremely hard especially for an average student), I decided to switched. After all, as long as I can get into public uni then okay already-lah. Don't care what stream-lah! Therefore as I switched my stream, I have to switch the course that I wanted to study too (in public uni). So, I decided to choose Mass Communication as my first choice as I kinda interested with this subject and I could see a bright prospect in it.
As USM is the pioneer for this course in Malaysia, I decided to aim for it. Furthermore, you get to have both major and minor when you study there. Lets say, if I majoring in mass comm, I can have a minor in management (or any other courses) or vice-versa. Same goes to science student. If you major in Science subject, you can actually minor in other arts subject as well. So, is it kinda alluring to you now..? (this information is based on the pamphlet I received when I went to various educational fairs)
Ohhh..!!! How I REALLY hope that I will get what I've been aiming all this while!
Haiz.. just pray hard and hope for the best!
Wish me luck! ; )

Save Our Environment.. Act Now!
In conjunction with the World Environment Day which is commemorated each year on the 5th of June, I as one of the residents who live in this beautiful world would like to give my pledge to the environment..
I PLEDGE...
- To use less water by using shower instead of using the "dayung" (small bucket) to bath. If I have to use bucket to bath, then I can only use 10 buckets of water. This can save up to 50% of the total consumption of water that I usually use to bath.
- To use less electricity by spending only 1-2 hours per day on the computer instead of 4 hours last time. Besides, I will try to bath at the time where there's still natural sunlight instead of bathing at night so that I don't need to switch on the lights.
- To refuse plastic bags from the seller whenever I buy something unless "terpaksa". I will also use my own container when I buy food to cut down the use of polysterine lunch box, plastic bags, plastic spoons, straws etc. (I will start this when I enter university)
- To implement more 3R (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle) programme in my daily life such as separating papers and domestic garbage (like kitchen waste).
- To use more public transportations (I guess there is a good thing that the Govt increase the fuel prices. People will resort to public transportations.. but ONLY IF they improve it! >0<)
- To try many other ways to save the environment. ^^
Let us all stand up and work together to save our planet and make it a better place for us as well as our future generations to live. Remember, every little bit you do - COUNTS.
So, ACT NOW!

Now, what's your pledge?

A Silent Birthday
Dear Bloggie,
20 years ago, on the same date as today and 1 minute earlier than this very moment (I purposely blog at this time and date geh.. hehe.. ; ) ), I was born into this wonderful world with no worries, no expectations nor hopes. I was just a small little infant who barely knows anything. I didn't even know what does the word, "Birthday" meant then. All I knew was to cry when I feel uncomfortable or smile when people "sayang" me. That's simple! That's how babies should be like, right?
But as I grown up, I started to learn many things. And the desire in me of achieving something in life grew stronger... while things are getting more complicated than I could ever imagine! Perhaps.. am I expecting too much? Is this the reason why I sometimes felt that there's some kind of emptiness in me? I don't know...
Well, I was expecting something nice gonna happen to me in this very day. After all, it's my 20th birthday. I am no longer in my TEENage years but from today onwards my age will start with the number 2 (for another 10 years of course) already - I'm a grown up Lady. Furthermore, today is no ordinary day as it is our YDPA's Birthday as well. So I am naively supposed that today must be one of the most happiest day in my life. But oh well.. I guess as a human being, we can't really expect too much, huh?
And so, my b'day passes on.. just like that - with no cakes, no presents, no hang-outs but AT LEAST there were some birthday greetings that I received through my friendster, msn and sms from some of my very thoughtful friends. Thanks guys! It REALLY meant alot to me! >0< And not to forget - my parents who greeted me right after the clock strucked at 12 a.m!! Oh, I'm touched! I guess FAMILY really is the most important aspect in our life. Thank you mummy and daddy!!!
So it really doesn't matter whether you'll get a big delicious b'day cake, nice presents or a huge celebration or not. But most importantly is those b'day wishes that comes from their heart. ONCE again, I would like to thank everyone for being so thoughtful of me. Thank You!! Domo Arigatou!!! ^0^
Well.. I must admit that if I am still a kid, I must've been sad as it didn't turn out as what I've hoped for. I still remember when I was small, I asked my friends about what day is today (hoping that they still remember), and guess what was their answer? "Today is Monday" (swt.. =,=). But I still didn't give up and asked another friend of mine. Being a quiet intelligent girl, she answered, "I know! Today is 2 days after the Agong's Birthday" (double swt..). After hinted for TWICE, I decided not to ask anymore and just let it be. (Flashing back these cute memories, I found out that I was quiet "muka tembok" (thick skin) that time! Haha!! ; P)
When I got back home, to my dissapointment, EVEN my family had forgotten my b'day! T_T So I cried silently at night. That was consider as the ONLY year where non of my family members nor friends who remember my special day. However on the next day, I saw a Happy Belated B'day card on my cupboard which says, " We never forget your b'day." (oh.. how sweet! ^^) and I was relieved as my family still remember my b'day after all! And what's more! Two of my friends gave me 2 cute notebooks as a belated present on the same day as well! Yea!! ^0^ I can't really recall how happy I was that day. That 2 little notebooks might look nothing to some people but to me.. that was the ONLY present I've got for that year (not to forget - the belated card from my family! ^^).
Oh well, as I grown older I finally realised that materiality isn't really that important. What's more important and valuable is the LoVe and CaRe that you share with each other - be it with your family or friends. Okay okay.. I know I was a bit naive last time, who always feels that every b'day must be accompany with at least a cake or a simple gift. But hey! I'm all grown up ya know! I'm 20 already!! And I do understand the different aspects of life..
Hmm.. but if you think in a positive perspective, I'm actually very lucky to have my b'day to fall on this auspicious day and should be very happy. Know why?
Coz the whole 26 Million Malaysians are celebrating for ME today!
Hahahaha!!! ; )
And oh ya, here I would like to take this opportunity to thank my mummy and daddy for bringing me into this wonderful world! Long Live to both of you!!! ^0^

Petrol Shock! (Chapter 2 - Final Chapter)
But the WORST part of ALL is that the Govt had LIFTED OFF the ban on foreign cars to buy petrol and diesel at border states. They said it was not necessary to bar foreign vehicles from going to the petrol stations as the price of our fuel now had increased. Hey, come on-lah! Although our fuel price had gone up we still, however comparatively lower than our neighbouring countries. Please take a look at the table below:-
__________Petrol Diesel
Thailand__ RM3.90 RM3.50
Singapore_ RM5.20 RM4.22
Indonesia_ RM2.07 RM1.90
India_____RM4.00 RM 2.74
As for an example, if foreign cars from Thailand buy our petrol for RM2.70, they can save up to RM1.20 per litre of petrol and that's alot of $$ ya know!! And the worst thing is that, when people from neighbouring countries come to buy our relatively cheaper petrol, they might sell it to their own country to make good profit! So Malaysians, what do you think? Should they ban or not? Or should we, as a super GENEROUS Malaysians, let them enjoy the cheaper petrol??!!
Hahh!!! What is our Govt thinking right now?!!! Kejap kata nak ban, tiba-tiba "gostan" balik kata-kata tu! Where got people "gostan" wan?! Decide already, must jalan ge ma! Other countries will LAUGH at us although they are actually VERY happy that we didn't continue on with the ban (haiyo! of course-lah! they all can get cheaper petrol wor! who don't want?!) Just because they wanna maintain the "good relationship" between us and our neighbouring countries, doesn't mean that they can simply "hadiahkan" our precious fuel to them to enjoy ge ma! There's still many other ways!!
And actually I really don't understand why they wanna increase the price of fuel (heard from somewhere that they might increase it AGAIN to RM4.00 or RM4.30 per litre in August! sh*t!). Petronas is gaining sooooo much profit every year and even if the current world fuel price is very high, I'm sure that we sell our fuel to other countries with the same price as well (never forget that we are also one of the fuel exporter in the world) and where is all the profit went to?! For country's development? To subsidise food since the food price is soaring high as well? Hahh!! Fellow Malaysians, we are clever people. I'm sure you get what I mean.
And besides that, the Govt had also decided that the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Natural Gas for Vehicle (NGV) which is WHOLELY controled by Petronas will not be expecting any increase. Why is it so? As we know these gases is something EXTRA that is produced from a process, called "Proses Penyulingan Petroleum" (form 4 or form 5 chemistry.. forgot already) and if we don't use it, it'll be "dilupuskan" (sorry I dunno what's the word in English.. ; p) also. In another word, it's FREE! So the charge for these gases is actually an extra income for the country already. And just think about it. If the fuel prices really increase so high to the point that people cannot afford it anymore, will they (the rakyat) have no choice but to use LPG or NGV as a cheaper alternative? And when this happen, will the price of these gases remain the same?
HA HA!
Scribble by Lonely Girl at 4:41 PM 0 Show Some Love! ^^
Petrol Shock! (Chapter 1)
The recent fuel price hike has sparked the rakyat's attention as well as people from neighbouring countries. The petrol price which has gone up by 78 sen to RM2.70 per litre (previously RM1.92) since yesterday was definitely no joke.
This drastic act will cause negative impact especially to the lower and the middle income group (like my family!!! >_<).
Not only that, the Government (Govt) has also announced that there'll be higher electricity tariff from July 1st (OMG!!!). And as we always know, fuel is the "boss of all products". If the price of fuel goes up, other materials and products will follow suit because all companies need transportation to run their business and these vehicles need FUEL to move.
Items like cooking gases, food (meat, vege, rice, tinned food etc.), household products and other basic necessities will definitely go up. Even transportation companies like bus companies and lorry operators will increase their fare due to the price increase in diesel which has gone up by RM1 to RM2.58 per litre (previously RM1.58) because they just can't cope with such hefty price.
That's NOT all!! The Govt had decided to abolish the RM6 per kilo ceiling price for chicken (according to the Star newspaper on 5th June 2008 - pg.N14) which means the chicken traders can increase their chicken price already. And imagine how high it will be especially with the new fuel price! (oh, no!!! XO)
Plus with all these prices getting up! up! and UP! I'm pretty sure that the crime rate in our country will definitely experience a rise! (ahh!!! must be careful from now already whenever we go out! >_<) The same thing goes to our inflation rate which will definitely goes up and our GDP (Gross Domestic Product) will decrease drastically. In another words, we might facing a RECESSION (remember our "Kegawatan Ekonomi 97/98"? it MIGHT be a 10 years cycle..) Anyway, just to remind you guys.. BE PREPARED...
Although there are rebates for petrol to lighten the people's burden but RM625 annual cash rebate (for private vehicle with engine capacity of 2000 c.c. and below) will not able to cover the increase in price of petrol! (as well as the price of other items that'll increase together with it)
To Be Continued...

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!
Dear Bloggie,
When I went back home from Kedah 3 days ago, the first thing I saw when I get into my house was a letter to me from Kuok Foundation! Woohoo!! I was as happy as a lark then coz after about 2 1/2 months of waiting, I finally got the result! I am shortlisted for the interview!!! >0<
To be frank, actually I never believe in scholarships so I never apply any of them after my SPM (this is the first time I apply) because I always feel that scholarship was something that is almost "mission impossible" to get, especially for an average student like me. And it really took alot of effort to prepare your application so I felt it's a waste of time. After all, I know I won't get it anyway.
But after my STPM, my mum urged me to try to apply for scholarships as I got a quiet satisfactory result. And I dunno what else that had influenced me in changing my mind about scholarship.. until I said to myself, "No harm trying!"
Therefore, I sent 5 scholarship award applications to 5 different organisations, hoping that I'll get good news from at least one of them. And it's not easy to apply as I've mentioned before. You need to prepare alot of information, documents, photocopies and not to forget - the dunno-what-to-write essay. So I guess what people always say were right, "You think $$ come down from the sky wan ahh..?" Very true indeed.
Anyway, I'm ready for whatever consequences it might be. In fact, I'm already very lucky to be shorlisted for an interview. This means I have 50-50 chance to get the award. The rest is up to my luck. So am I LUCKY enough? Only God will know. So pray hard and just wish for the best! ; )
Good Luck to ME this 23rd of June!!! Gambateh!!! ^0^

What's your hairstyle?
I've came across this interesting article about woman's hairstyle and thought that it'll be nice to share it with you guys. ^^
WHAT HAIR SUITS MY FACE?
Even though you may love the latest celebrity hair style, it might not be the right hair style for your face. The shape of your face and the proportions of your features will help tell you what hairstyle is best suited to you.
- Oval-shaped face => You're lucky - this is the kind of face shape that suits just about any hairstyle. Both long and short hair cuts look great on you, as your face shape is well balanced. The chin and forehead of an oval face shape are in even proportion.Avoid covering up your perfect face shape with heavy bangs or wearing your hair on your face. You'll lose your face shape and it may add weight to your face.
- Round face => Hairstyles with fullness and height at the crown will give the impression of a narrower face. Try a cut with layers while keeping the sides close to your face to make your face appear longer. Round faces suit either short hairstyles swept back from your forehead, or hairstyles that are longer than chin length. Wispy fringes and side parts are also good. Avoid chin length hair, center parts, fullness at the sides of ears, straight "chopped bangs - these wll all emphasise the shape of your face.
- Heart-shaped face => The heart shaped face is widest at the temples and narrowest at the chin, which can appear pointy. Short hair and chin length hair often looks great on this face shape, as the fullness can even out the jaw and chin lines. Chin length bobs, short shags, swept forward layers and wispy bangs all work well.Avoid full styles that emphasise the upper face without balancing out your narrow chin. Too much height at the crown and tapered necklines will make you look top heavy.
- Rectangular, Long face => If your face is long and slender, with your forehead and below cheeks about the same width, hairstyles that balance out the length of your face work best for you. These include short to medium lengths with fullness at the sides and soft wispy bangs. This will shorten the length and add width to your face. Layered styles work well and add softness to the straight lines of your face.Avoid too much length, it will only make your face look longer. Too much height will also lengthen your face.
- Square face => If your face is square, with a strong, square jaw line and often an equally square hairline, the right hairstyles for you are ones that soften the square look of your face. Short to medium length hair cuts, with soft wispy bangs and a wave or curl will compliment and balance out your straight face shape. If you hair is straight, maybe consider a body wave. Side parts and fullness/height at the crown can add length to your square face shape.Avoid straight styles - long straight hair, blunt bangs, straight bobs and center parts, as they will emphasise your square jawline.
- Triangle face => If you face is triangle, with a wider chin that narrows at the forehead, you want to stick to styles that narrow your chin and widen the forehead. This will balance out your features. Shorter hair can often balance our your prominent jaw line, as well as styles that are full at the temples that taper at the jaw. Off center parts, wedges and shags are also good styles for you. Lots of layers will give you the fullness through the upper part of your face.Avoid Styles that are full at the jawline and center parts.
- Full forehead, long chin => If your forehead is large and your chin long, it can help to add volume below the chin line to balance it out. A thick layered cut or mid-length bob will add fullness where it's needed. Bangs can also reduce the look of a full forehead.
- Large features => Full hair can help downplay a large nose or other feature and can help balance out large features. Straight hair, parted down the middle or a long, heavy fringe will make a larger nose seem even more prominent. Subtle highlights in your hair can help by drawing the eye towards the hair and away from the face.
- Long or short neck => A long, graceful neck is a beautiful and desirable feature and should be shown off and considered when choosing a hairstyle. Short hair can really show off your neck, however long hair can also add to your already graceful neck when worn in an elegant style, like a twist or updo.If you want a short hairstyle and your neck is short, create the appearance of length by tapering your hair at the base of the neck and fuller on top.
WHAT IS MY FACE SHAPE?
It's hard to be objective about your own face shape, but here's a sure fire way to be sure your not biasing your own analysis. Hair designers are the ultimate judges of your face shape, but if you need a little help try this experiment. There are lots of suggestions on how to figure out your shape, from outlining your face shape on a mirror with lipstick to draping it with a towel and asking others to help you guess the shape. But, there is actually a scientific way to determine your face shape once and for all.
To find out the shape of your face, measure it with a tape measure or ruler. You will take the following measurements.
1. Measure your face across the top of your cheekbones. Write down the measurement on a piece of paper.
2. Measure across your jaw line from the widest point to the widest point. Write down the measurement.
3. Measure across your forehead at the widest point. Generally the widest point will be somewhere about halfway between your eyebrows and your hairline. Write down the measurement.
4. Measure from the tip of your hairline to the bottom of your chin.
Oval Face
Length equal to one and a half times width. Forehead is wider than the chin. Prominent Cheekbones. Face gracefully tapers to a narrow oval chin.
Round Face
Your face is as wide as it is long. This may vary a little but generally the measurement is close. Face is widest at the cheeks.
Oblong
Longer than it is wide. Forehead, cheekbones and jawline are all about the same width. Can tend to have a prominent chin. Has an elongated appearance.
Heart
Narrow at jaw line, wide at cheekbones/and or forehead. Similar to oval, but the chin tapers to a point.
Square
Your face is about as wide as it is long. Forehead, cheekbones and jawline all about the same width. Squared jawline is the most obvious feature.
Diamond
Widest at cheekbones, narrow forehead and jaw line of approximately equal widths.
Triangle
Reverse of the heart-shape. A dominant jaw line with narrowing at the cheek bone, temples and forehead.

Smart Consumer (Chapter 2 - Final Chapter)
Seeing such silly mistakes that shouldn't have been done by such a big company, my dad (who always fight for consumer rights) make a call to the Carrefour headquarters to lodge a complaint. As for me, I wrote a complaint in a form at the Comment & Suggestion box which is provided at the hypermarket. The complaint I've wrote sounds like this...
Don't they have anyone in charge of rechecking the leaflet before it is printed out and distributed to the household area? And they should have stick the statement of error near the items that have price mistake (like the Stabilo pens that I've mentioned in Chapter 1) rather than sticking it on the notice board that no one will ever bother to see! Or at least, they should've inform all the storekeepers who in charge of that particular area about the mistakes that they've made and pay attention on it! (even the storekeeper doesn't know that there's a price mistake on the Stabilo pens.. how pathetic..!)
As for the wrong price tag which was hanging above Anlene products... Don't they have anyone who is in charge of that area (let say, milk powder area) to check the price tag (whether it is written correctly or not) and stock availability? Or maybe.. these people are actually taking their sweet time, hanging around doing nothing?
Although we can say that these are just some careless mistakes but these mistakes are actually indirectly "cheating" the customers! Because people usually come to such hypermarkets to buy alot of things and if they doesn't know the price mistake for 1 or 2 product(s), they might have just pay and go, until when they finally realize it once they get back home (to check the whole list of the receipt), it's already too late.
I know many people will never bother about it and even if they do, they will not do anything about it coz to them it's a waste of time and it is like what? We rugi only few ringgit-mah! Haiya.. never mind-lah! Yes. This is a normal perception among our fellow Malaysians. BUT if this happens in foreign countries, the consumer will sue the company if they feel their rights are being exploited. And yes. It really happens. Heard of big companies like McD or KFC being sued? Now you know...
Well, of course I'm not pointing all faults at Carrefour only. Even other hypermarkets like Giant did the same thing too through my experience. But just too bad-lah.. Why did this thing happen just after a few days I started my blog?As you guys know, I gotta have something to write on!! ^0^
Anyway, here's a few tips for you guys out there when you wanna shop at the hypermarkets :-
- Firstly, look carefully at each products on the leaflet you received that you want to purchase and try to remember the price printed on it if you can. (eg: price (very important), the number of items in a set, kg, types etc.)
- Bring the leaflet together with you when you go to the hypermarket or take them from the hypermarket itself (usually you'll get it at the entrance) for reference.
- Make it a habit to always check the prices at the "price checking machine" expecially for the promotional items because it is the most reliable and accurate source of information (to check whether the price is written correctly on the price tag or not).
- Finally, briefly check your receipt (which lists down all the items you've bought) before you went home.
*If there's any additional information or tips that I've left out, or perhaps something that you guys wanna share (like your similar experience with this one or your personal opinion), do leave me a comment ya! TQ! ^^
As a conclusion, we must start to learn to become a smart consumer from now onwards! Ignorance will only cause the irresponsible people to exploit us even MORE! Let us all work together to fight for our rights!!! >0<
So, isn't it good to complain..? ;-)
*~ The End ~*

Smart Consumer (Chapter 1)
Are you a smart consumer?
Oh well.. let me tell you this story...
Last Friday, daddy, mummy and me went to Carrefour to buy some stuffs and I had only one thing to buy in my mind - Stabilo Point Pen 88 (per pack of 10's). Why did I wanna buy this thing? Well, the usual price for this item was actually around RM14 - RM16 for 10 different colours of point pens but then it came up with a promotional price of only RM6.90!!! Now.. attractive or not? XD
Below is the Carrefour leaflet to prove this...*The red circle indicates the item that I wanted to buy
However when we went to take it at the stationary area, we saw the tag price was RM14.90! So we went to check the price at the "price checking machine" (I dunno what it called as) and it also stated there "RM14.90". Therefore, we decided to ask a store assistant who is in charge of that area.
The store assistant told us that since it was the first day for the promotion to start, they haven't change the price tag yet, so what we can do (according to her) was to pay the original price first at the cashier, and then go to the information counter to claim back our change.
Being a wise person, of course my dad didn't do what the store assistant told us to do! What if we can't claim back our money at the info counter?! So we decided to ask the people in the info counter whether we really can claim back or not.. And guess what those people said to us? They said there were actually some minor mistake on the leaflet we received - the price for the Stabilo pens set was not RM6.90 as printed but was actually RM14.90. In another words, they've printed wrongly already... =,=
They even showed us a black and white statement with the item picture to prove their words. It was even sticked to a notice board in the hypermarket. At that very moment, we were so furious! How on earth they think people can actually read the statement of error which was only printed on a small A4 sized paper?! Are they nuts?! And I don't think there are many of us who will actually look at the hypermarket's notice board. People who come there are usually those who wanna buy stuffs at a cheaper price after they received the leaflet at their house. So there's no point looking at the notice board! You think we so "senang" kah?!
And this was not the only mistake they've made. Please take a look at the next leaflet below...
There's two types of Anlene - Anlene Gold and Anlene Regular (both 1.2kg). Anlene Regular costs RM30.79 as stated above (I mean the leaflet) while Anlene Gold costs slightly higher which is RM32.99. However, the BIG price tag which is hanging GRACEFULLY above the area where they put all the items at was RM30.99!!! It's a total absurd! Wanna say it's the price for Anlene Gold also not.. wanna say it's the price for Anlene regular also not.. then what price is that?!
The worst part was that both Anlene Regular and Anlene Gold were being put together at the SAME place with the BIG price tag RM30.99 hanging above!!! (be reminded that Anlene Gold costs RM32.99) A normal person who look upon such attractive price (for those who usually buy Anlene Gold) will definitely buy it without knowing that there's actually a mistake on the price tag! (we went to check both Anlene prices at the "price checking machine" already and it really stated there RM30.79 and RM32.99 respectively)
Oh my goodness! I'm sure these are not the only mistakes that they've made. If we really go to the hypermarket and check the items one by one, I think there'll be plenty more items to be questioned. But obviously no one will actually have the time to do that! Will you? >_<

And the winner goes to...
The American Idol Season 7 has just ended this week's Wednesday but I've just finished watching it yesterday night on 8TV. So how do you guys think about the winner - David Cook?Well to me.. I prefer David Archuleta (left pic) coz he has the most mesmerizing voice I've ever heard from a 17 year old guy and hey.. he's cute! >0<
As for Cook, my first impression on him was.. his style is a bit like Chris Daughtry! (4th place finalist on the 5th season of A.I) Maybe this is because both of them are rockers, I supposed. But if you guys noticed.. their name have both C and D alphabets! David Cook (DC) and Chris Daughtry (CD).. o.O lols! I hope one day they gonna produce a song sung by both of them together. It'll gonna be great! ; )I guess that's why both of them have the same first name - David! ^^
