Victims of Natural Disaster...

Ever since the massive earthquake hit Sichuan province (China) months ago, the victims have been living in fear, hunger and pain. Their houses and shops have been destroyed by the unfortunate disaster. Those who lost their one and only child in the catastrophe has greatly impacted their life since China allow people to have only one child in each family. As for those who manage to save their life, it was even more disheartening to see some of the children's leg as young as 10 years old have to be amputated due to its serious condition...

Till today, there has been many organisations (both locally and internationally) as well as various artists who had offered their help. I manage to find these songs sang by some of the famous Hong Kong, China and Taiwan singers from YouTube (Sammi Cheng was one of them! >0<). These songs are specially dedicated to the victims as well as the departed ones. If you listen carefully, the lyrics are actually very meaningful...

However I was thinking.. there were many artists and organisations turned up to help China BUT how about Myanmar? They too are suffering from the impact of the deadly Cyclone Nargis. Perhaps we could say that the Junta army in Myanmar didn't allow too many international bodies and organisations to send aids to them at the beginning, fearing that they might "campur tangan" in their ruling in Myanmar and at the end forcing them to release pro-democracy social activist, Aung San Suu Kyi. So most of the aids have been transfered to China and when they (the Juntas) changed their mind, it's already too late. But anyway, I still feel that the MORE powerful the country is, the MORE support they will get. After all, China is going to be the next world's economic giant soon. And as we all already know (and excited about it).. the Beijing Olympics 2008 is going to start in a few months time! So haiz.. it's ALL about POLITICS...

Last but not least, we should always be grateful with what we have in life because.. there are many more unfortunate people in this world who are still struggling just to LIVE.

So guys, LIFE IS PRECIOUS. APPRECIATE IT!
